Adam Maynes, Sports Information Director, brings a wealth of academic expertise and a deep commitment to faith-driven service to his role. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Arizona State University (ASU), a Master’s in American History from American Military University (AMU), and a Master’s in Public Administration from Grand Canyon University (GCU), equipping him with a strong foundation in education, history, and leadership. Maynes was drawn to Nelson University by its Christian philosophy, which inspires him to strive for excellence in every task and aligns with his desire to work alongside fellow Christ-followers who live out their faith through their actions. This environment keeps him motivated to serve and contribute to the university’s mission. His work is guided by a dedication to fulfilling Christ’s mission, no matter how small his role, with the goal of glorifying God in all aspects of his professional endeavors. As the curator of This Day in Arizona Sports History, Maynes has cultivated a passion for documenting and sharing sports history, which directly influenced his decision to pursue the Sports Information Director position at Nelson. His experience in curating and publishing Arizona sports history for public consumption seamlessly aligns with the responsibilities of promoting and chronicling Nelson’s athletic programs.
