Bio
Randi Corbin-Wright, Assistant Softball Coach and Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Nelson University, brings a wealth of experience as a lifelong athlete and dedicated coach to her role. She holds a Master’s degree in Kinesiology from A.T. Still University, a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis on Sports Performance from Grand Canyon University (GCU), and an Associate’s degree in Exercise Science and Personal Training from Glendale Community College (GCC). Corbin-Wright’s passion for coaching was ignited in 2016 through a mentorship program with the National Fastpitch Coaches Association, where she was mentored by Coach Jimmy. Nearly a decade later, the opportunity to coach under him at Nelson University, alongside other Christ-followers, aligned perfectly with her values, drawing her to the program. Her coaching philosophy integrates Christian principles such as servant leadership, integrity, and accountability, creating an environment where athletes are supported, challenged, and encouraged to grow both personally and spiritually. By leading with love, patience, and humility, she aims to develop strong athletes and principled individuals who carry these values beyond the field. Her coaching journey began in 2016 when she founded Wright Sports Performance, a private training business where she serves as a pitching coach and strength and conditioning coach. She spent four years at Hamilton High School (2020-2024), serving as head coach for junior varsity and freshman teams and as the program’s head strength and conditioning coach, leading the freshman squad to to an undefeated 12-0 season in 2021-22, outscoring opponents 217-19. She also coached at La Joya Community High School (2016-2020), Casteel Junior High School (2020-2022), Gateway Community College (2023-2024), and Estrella Foothills High School (2024-2025). Her first collegiate coaching role at Gateway paved the way for her current position at Nelson, where she continues to inspire athletes through her faith-driven approach and expertise in strength and conditioning.
