Bio
Adam Miller, Men’s and Women’s Soccer Goalkeeper Coach at Nelson University, is a passionate mentor with a deep commitment to both soccer and the development of young athletes. Miller earned his Bachelor’s degree in History Education from Mount Vernon Nazarene University, where he honed in his skills as an educator and coach. Driven by his love for soccer and the opportunity to mentor student-athletes, Miller joined Nelson University in no small part to his prior collaboration with Head Coach Barry Swartz and their shared alignment with their personal beliefs and the school’s mission. Coach Miller's coaching philosophy centers on integrating Christian values, emphasizing prayer, servant leadership, and leading by example to establish core values that guide players both on and off the field. Miller’s coaching journey includes stops at Arizona Christian University, where he contributed to the 2018 GSAC championship, and Northwest Nazarene University. He also coached with Laredo Heat SC, achieving the 2021 NPSL Southwest Division championship and the 2024 Arizona State Cup title. At Nelson, Miller works to shape goalkeepers with a focus on technical excellence and character development, fostering a culture rooted in faith and teamwork.
